THE DAILY CHECK-IN

Two numbers.
A whole lot of insight.

Your body is telling you something.
Here’s how to listen.

01 / YOUR MORNING
Ready for
your kind of day.

Recovery 0–100

How ready your body is this morning, from overnight HRV, resting heart rate, sleep, breathing rate, and wrist temperature.

A morning snapshot of your readiness
02 / THROUGH YOUR DAY
80 Plenty in the tank
Time to rechargeReady to go

Body Charge 0–100

Your energy through the day. It starts at your recovery score, drains with activity and stress, and recharges with rest and sleep.

An energy level that moves with you

Illustrative scores. Your numbers will be personal to you.

WHY BASELINE EXISTS

More understanding.
From the watch you have.

Baseline started with a frustration: Apple Health collected plenty of numbers, but didn’t offer the detailed recovery picture we wanted—especially on older Apple Watches.

We wanted a clearer answer to “How recovered am I?” and “How much energy do I have left?” So we built Baseline to turn existing Apple Health data into personal recovery and energy insights, with every calculation open to explore.

PERSONAL BY NATURE

Your baseline.
Never the average.

Thoughtful science. Clear insights. A little more understanding.

Compared with you

Every metric is measured against your own 60-day history. Because your normal is yours alone.

YOU ARE THE REFERENCE POINT

Research-informed

7-day rolling HRV averages, a normal zone that ignores day-to-day noise, and HRV from deep sleep, based on published readiness research.

Fully transparent

Every formula and weight is shown in the app. No black box. Just a clear view of what goes into your score.

Deep sleep insights

Sleep-stage timeline, efficiency, consistency, sleep debt, and overnight blood oxygen, heart rate, and temperature.

Workouts on your timeline

See exactly how much charge each workout cost. Connect the things you do with the way you feel.

Private by design

All data stays on your iPhone. No servers, no accounts, no tracking. Your health is your business.

ON YOUR PHONE. IN YOUR CONTROL.

A NEW DAILY RITUAL

Less setup.
More self-awareness.

  1. 01

    Wear. Sleep. Repeat.

Wear your Apple Watch, especially overnight. Let your body do the talking.

  2. 02

    Meet your normal.

Baseline learns your normal from the last 60 days of Apple Health data.

  3. 03

    Check in with yourself.

Open the app each morning for your recovery, and check your Body Charge through the day.

All the insight. None of the data leaving your phone.

A preview of your new daily check-in. Screens shown are illustrative.

OPEN CODE. OPEN BOOK.

Nothing to hide.
Everything to explore.

Is it on the App Store?

Not yet. You can build it from source with Xcode; instructions are on GitHub.

What do I need?

An iPhone with iOS 27 or later, plus a Mac with Xcode to build and install the app from source. An Apple Watch is strongly recommended.

Does it send my data anywhere?

No. Everything is processed on your device and Baseline only reads from Apple Health.

Is it a medical device?

No. Scores are estimates for personal insight only, not medical advice.
